To jubilate in the crisis?
1985 started what we have today. A successful SMB-company established itself in the market. A market that became one of the toughest, compared with other industries. E2MS (Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing Services) includes all facets of customer service. Lowest prices, best quality, highest service levels and all this with full responsibility of liability, should anything go wrong.

But even worse, it has now gone wrong globally. Banking crisis, financial crisis, economic crisis ... crisis everywhere. Is there still a reason to celebrate? - Especially as we are facing another crisis; the crisis of ethical values. A term that was much talked about during this year's WEF.
Our free economy and society is based on common values. But it can’t work, if people don’t share the same fundamental moral concepts. A number of laws are trying to stipulate them, with the result that our individual freedom becomes threatened. We feel restricted by being monitored and watched.

In my view, mankind has not changed for the worse in the last 25 years (25 years; the reason for our jubilation). Or that someone has to be restricted, because we apparently have to be. The problem lies rather in more often short-term thinking.
Investors are looking out for fast money, there is no place for long-term considerations when buying up  a company. Employers see their salvation in the hire-and-fire policy. Employees respond quickly to higher salary and bonus prospects. Politicians only want to win the next elections and act accordingly. The consequences are loss of loyalty, lack of trust and false understanding of competition.
Not the currently most favorable opportunity is the goal of all goals, especially, when there is no long-term view.

What has this got to do with our 25-year anniversary? In 1985 we started with a long-term perspective and I think a quarter of a century of existence is a reason to celebrate. From the previous Formatest AG the international CCS Group evolved. A group of companies that has grown over the years bearing  a high share of responsibility, offering an extremely difficult and complex range of services. Responsibility and loyalty to our customers, suppliers, employees and stakeholders is our primary goal. We are not flawless, but we know how to deal with mistakes. The loss of values would be a bad prerequisite, and we try to avoid short-term thinking as much as possible.

Let’s concentrate on the next 25 years. We should try to hold on to our values: let’s be active ourselves and not point the finger at others. To become a role model and to open up perspectives. These are the real values to which we have dedicated ourselves to long term.

I hope for valuable times with no crisis for all of us.
